Free Redundancy Training (ReAct) Wales

If you are facing redundancy and you live in Wales then you can benefit from free vocational training.  The Redundancy Action Scheme (ReAct) is a training programme provided by the Welsh Government to help those facing redundancy to learn new skills, improve existing skills or learn new topics if you are thinking of a complete change of direction.

How ReAct Works

You can receive a training award of up to £1,500 to be spent on training sessions of your choice.   You can choose from a huge range of topics including website design, WordPress, social media, using computers,  software packages such as Word, Excel or more specific software which will help you in the future.  There is a vast choice of other topics too so please get in touch to find out more.

Eligibility

The ReAct training grant is available to anyone in Wales who:

  • has become unemployed in the last 3 months as a result of redundancy, are currently unemployed, and who have not been in continuous employment for 6 weeks or more since being made redundant; or
  • are currently under notice of redundancy; and
  • have not undertaken any publicly funded training since being made redundant, including the work-based learning suite of programmes.
